All-time wins stat is meaningless, there are more games in the tournament now than there was.

What is impressive (assuming dook still has it) is the all-time winning percentage in the Tournament. Also impressive is the 16 FFs for UNC and their record Sweet 16 run.

Most impressive is UCLA's overall tournament championships and Kentucky's unbelievable winning percentage in the Final Four (only lost once or twice in the Final Four.)

Yeah really. Only UNC fans care about how many 16's they've been to. Everyone else cares about actual championships.

In which UNC also leads dook. Not counting the one pre-NCAA, UNC has 4, dook only has 3. That better?

I'm not trying to minimize accomplishments. It just seems kinda lame to lean on all those Sweet 16's. Hell, it's been so long since State's won anything at that level, I have to recall my youth when I grew up a Carolina fan just to remember what it's like.

UNC has 2 since the field was expanded to 64......Duke 3.

And UNC has the most #1 seeds and only 3 NCs to go with it? Nice Underachieving, lady.

Is it lame then to lean on a coach having the most NCAA victories? I thought DJ_Tet's point about there being more games now is a great point. Just let me know the playing field so I'll know what game we're playing.

At least State has 2 National championships - and one that's very memorable at that. There are a lot of teams that will NEVER be able to say that.
