All this about Duke choking in the tourney

got me thinking about who duke wouldn't be "choking" against. Last year wasn't really a choke in my mind losing to michigan state. Close, but i think they were even teams, with MSU being the more athletic team that tends to give duke a lot more trouble. Two years ago, they got beat by UCONN. Not a choke. Did Illinois choke last year? Nope. Uconn was better than duke two years ago. Really, last time duke choked was probably vs Indiana. And before that, in 99 against uconn.

which leads me to this... What teams could duke lose to this year and not be considered choking? I say UConn and Villanova. After that, i'm not sure there isn't a team that duke shouldn't be able to beat.

Pre-season #1, so called best player in the country, any lose would be a choke for them.

 

That's horseshit and you know it. Duke is getting 28% odds to win in vegas. It would take over 50% to be a choke.

come on, sly. you know that dook is not only capable of beating anyone, but they would be the favorite over any team they will face in the tourney. apparently they have the greatest shooter in college basketball history along with a great center....no way they should lose to ANYONE.

if they finish the ACC at 16-0 but fail to win the NC, no matter who beats them, it will be considered a first class choke job...up there with the yanks blowing a 3-0 lead to the sox.

 

Sure they can and sure they are favored to win any individual game. But they are not favored to win the whole thing. You see, the odds against add up with each game. But I truly don't expect you to understand STATS 101. After all, you're a fucking moron.
