All things considered, Fasani did ok...

Well now no one can say, Winky gives our best option. He did nothing to help us get in a scoring position.

Fasani, well yes he did run to soon. He threw a few balls short etc. But he still showed me he has more ability than Winky. He can be taught not to run as quickly easier than Winky can be taught to well ahh... be a QB.

But, time for me to accept a little pride swallow here. Just because I think Fasani is a better option than Winky does not mean he should start. Sportsfans.... we don't have a legit starter on our team for that position.

Oh yea, I know the defense was soft at the end, but Fasani demonstrated something else he can do better than Winky. Clock Management.

In the end for us Panther Fans, Lets pray Foster is stronger than ever! We need him.

Edit _ Walls had the TD catch... when it rains it pours.

    Yep, 30% completion, 5.5 yards/att and a pick

Yea, he's was fucking great. He's our future. Cut Weinke. Trade our #1. We have our man!

Yep, in an offense that has to be the WORSE in the NFL (forget the stats, they are for LOSERS), he did as well as the rest of them. What happened to our O-line, did they forget how to play?
Lemar Smith has to be the slowest RB in history to be where he is.

I can agree with that at least.

Weinke held the ball a lot. Fasani showed his arm, but didn't throw well and made bad decisions. One look and throw.
    He played terribly.

    With that said.

THe line didn't protect. Our recievers just weren't open. Hard to put too much emphasis on either QBs play. In the end, part of it was Atlanta's D, which has found a pass rush and have two of the best cover corners in the game, going up against our gimpy recievers.

More than anything, we missed Morgan and Fields today. Atlanta simply punched us out.

Regardless, I don't think Weinke is the 'qb of the future'.

    I say start the kid.

Actually, I was watching the game with my father n law and a buddy. Before I got involved in QB discussions that was the first thin I said.

Considering we got beat by a running QB that had over 90 yards rushing and our offense... Our D is still solid, but Morg is crucial, we need him...

Again, Fasani took on a new look that last drive. He was ready to step up to the plate and he did. He got in that scoring position by doing some nice things.

Like I said... At least in the short term, I'm not comfortable with Winky or Fasani as starter. It will be interesting to see if Fasani gets the first string practice this week. Did you notice Fox looked like he saw a ray of hope towards the end? Not in winning but the offense moved the ball down the field.

One of the announcers made note that Winky looked confused at some point in the first half. Maybe he was already a little dizzy?

But again, I hate he got hurt on what I thought was his best play... the run for the first down.

Oh and another question for anyone... If Fasani is #3, why did we still have #4 running kick offs back?

It was garbage time by that point.

I'm sure Fasani will get some 1st string snaps. He's our only healthy guy. Weinke looked, oh, dazed and confused would be the way I'd put it on the sideline.

I think we will sign somebody off the street now that we are down to one healthy QB.

My wife cracked me up on Fasani. "Is he out of high school? We're fucked."

Agreed. Weinke had his time to prove himself today and maybe seal his future here but he blew it. Oh well... Fasini should start next week by default.

It's now clear to me our QB of the future is coming from next year's draft.
