You were talking about Duke's class for next year and brought up Nolan Smith. Boateng hasn't even had a chance to do anything. He's gotten in games for like 2 or 3 minutes at most. No player can prove anything in that period of time. I think Scheyer will lead Duke in scoring next year and will be similar to Redick in his three point scoring. If they get Lance Thomas they will have 3 McDonald's All American's and a Michael Jordan All American. Not many other schools can boast that and on paper they will be a top 5 class, and like UNC this year, the freshmen will get tons of playing time out of necessity and they won't lose a player after next year, and they will only lose 1 player after 2 years (unless McRoberts goes pro). McClure won't transfer. If he would've he would've done it this year. That'd be stupid to sit out a year with a medical redshirt, then have to sit out another year because of transferring.

I've seen all of duke's players play except for Zoubek...I hear he's comparible to Gminski but a tad slower. 7 footers who aren't particularly quick struggle in college...Schensher and Zwikker never scared anybody.

Henderson is a fine young player, but I think Sly is basing his opinion of him being better than Ellington off two tv games where Ellington was in a shooting slump...Ellington hit the game winner in one of those games despite his shooting woes...The consensus has always been that Ellington is the better of the two- not by much, though.

Scheyer is a tall very skinny kid who isn't particularly fast...Yes he can shoot, but not quite like redick.

Lance Thomas is going to be a very good player no matter where he ends up...He is an inside player that isn't particularly strong at this point.

I really think K is hurting himself by not recruiting extremely athletic players...It showed this year.

Duke will probably keep it's class intact longer than the Heels, but I don't think senior leadership amounts to jack shit in the NCAA's anymore. I think K is betting that it will matter.

Next year for Duke will depend a lot on the decision of Josh McRoberts in the next month or two.If he decides to go pro this year Coach K will have his work cut out for him next year.NBA Draft.Com has McRoberts as the #5 pick in this years draft.It will be interesting to see what he decides.
