^^ Every time UNC loses in the tourney it's a choke, no matter what the circumstances are or who the opponent is. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. So as far as I'm concerned the same criteria should apply to dook.

Besides that Okafor sat most of the first half with two fouls. Duke built an eight point lead with 3 minutes or so to play and then let it slip away. Sounds like a choke to me.

Like someone posted on here last night, both schools have wasted some talent.

actually, you're right, duke did choke that game. in the grand scheme of things maybe they lost to a better team. but they had that game and blew it. good call.

Scheyer has lit it up all year. At the beginning of the year he was ranked (According to Rivals) at #70, and this year he is a McDonald's All American and I think he's averaging around 30 a game and lit up Michael Conley, the five star recruit for OSU. I think Thomas will choose Duke because he will start right away. He's 6-8 and can guard wings (which Duke couldn't do this year because Melchionni is short for a 3). In the three games, 2 in person, Henderson did look much smoother and better than Ellington, but from what I can remember he's listed as a SG and he had to run the point in the two games I saw in Charlotte. Henderson looks smooth as silk though and he can crash the boards hard. They listed Oden as only averaging 15 points and 11 boards in HIGH SCHOOL. That's not that impressive.

Nope... I'm talking about the team on the cover of the SI Preseason College issue this year.

Conley isn't shit for a defender. He's a 5 star recruit probably only because he is Greg Oden's point guard. So no Scheyer doesn't impress me. Carolina's 3-Star William Graves went against Duke's 2007 5 Star Nolan Smith and scored more than 30, and Smith is supposed to be a shutdown defender. Scoring on a 5 star player doesn't make you a 5 star player yourself, but I didn't expect you to realize the difference either. Lance Thomas will be a boost, but I'm still not overly concerned about him.

not to get into a collin like bitchfest here, but the context of your reply pertained to thelt's comment that redick and williams won 3 acc titles. you then stated that "their freshman year" which they had all that help they didn't win anything. sounded like to me that you were talking about williams and redick's body of work. which would make you wrong.

what the fuck is wrong with me? why am i being so nitpicky lately?

doesn't matter brane. that's how i took it.

Nolan Smith isn't in this year's class, and Jon Scheyer is considered to be one of the best (If not THE best) player in all of the Chicago area, which is saying a lot for a 6-5 white guy. Zoubek was hurt last summer so his stock dropped him to about 50. The fact that he is a 7 footer and only at around #50 worries me though cause if you are 7 feet in high school you are going to dominate just because the guy guarding you is 6-4. Thomas is super athletic and would fill a void at the wing and I think Henderson is gonna be great. He was just moved up to a 5 star on Scout a month or two ago, and I know this doesn't seem like a big deal, but David McClure is coming back also and he actually got time on the floor as a freshman, and everyone knows that if you are going to get time off the slim bench then you have to have some potential. Not saying he'll average 20 and 10 but he'll add depth off the bench. There's not much anyone can really say about Boykin, Pocius, or Boateng since they never played, so no one knows quite what Duke is getting although I didn't think Pocius looked bad when he was the 7th man when Nelson went down. I mean, he was a freshman and I think if he would have played more he would've improved a lot by the time it was the tournament. Redick was a four star also so you never know.

Um... where I said 2007 sorta implied that

Henderson has been a 5 star for well over a damned year now. Obviously you've paid ZERO attention to the Devils, but it may have been while you were busy with Georgia. He's the best player the team is getting and I haven't said anything to discredit his skills.

Actually rumors are that McClure may transfer due to being recruited over.

Boeteng is a turd. The arguement is that Duke has a top 5 recruiting class, not that 4 star players will step up.
