It's not an attack on UNC, I don't live in the Raleigh area, and it's o.k. if you want to add Shav.

I am just saying you can find reason to put May or Hodge on there and both of them have done a lot more to live upto the hype than Shav ever has.

I think Hodge has had a 3+ years at State. Enough to at least think about having his number retired. Him coming to State saved Sendek's job after going to the NIT five years in a row.

While Hodge has done a great deal for the program, I don't think there is any way his number will ever be retired. In NC State's history they have only retired ONE number, that being David Thompson's #44. To have you number retired you have to be down right amazing. Thompson was 2-time National POY and 3-time ACC POY. Was the Final Four MVP when they won the title and helped State go 57-1 in two seasons. Hodge has been good, ACC POY last year, but has no where near the career to have his number retired.

I don't think MT was even a top 50 recruit.

Now I'll put Chris Burgess on there in a heartbeat. Casey Sanders even.

But I have no idea how this bozo who started this thread puts May up there, when most people had him either 1st or 2nd team All American after the first half of the season.
