He sure had a hell of a lot of hype coming out of high school. Wasn't he like top 10 in the nation, #1 in the state. Huge recruiting battle between Duke, NC State and UNC-Ch. Has yet to even come close to panning out to be the player that was hyped up on his way in. I'm not sure how much hype he got preseason though?

Shav was down to like 31st in the nation after his senior year in high school after it became obvious he was not the second coming of David Thompson after several lousy all star performances.

Thank you. He wasn't pre-season AA. or Scott May's son.I was asking for opinions of ACC let-downs.

He was major hype, his stock fell during the all-star games. Have you set some type of rules for what's hype or not? haven't seen any posted yet. Shav had far more hype than May ever did. Not to mention May has done a lot more than Shav. So set the guidlines so we all know which rules to follow.

Thank you. Yeah you guys are gonna have to clarify what is and is not hype. All I know is that i lived in Raleigh during Shav's senior year and he was the only thing in the sports page for like 6 months straight. He was all kinds of hyped up on his way to Duke, made me damn sick.
