If you can find anywhere in my post where I said Yates would have sucked please inform me...I said you can't judge what a person does off of playing 6 games out of 11. Wilson leads almost every catergory and had 16 TD's to 1 INT, if Wilson wasnt the best then who was?

You were idiotically arguing that just because Yates was a vastly superior passer if you look at the two of them on a per game basis, that I somehow can't say that Yates is a better passer because he might not have been as good in the games he didn't play. That was some especially retarded reasoning on your part. You could apply the same (il)logic and say that we don't know if Wilson's stats will go down next year, so maybe he really isn't as good as you think he is. You've got to judge what's in front of you, and the reality is that Yates was a better quarterback than Wilson this year when on the field. Statistically, that's just a fact. Wilson was still plenty good in his own right, but not as good as Yates.

Well if we base it off stats then C.J. Spiller should have got All-ACC QB because he was 1-1 with a 15 yard pass for a TD which gives him a rating of 556.0. I mean statistically, its just a fact.

    Collin,
Wilson also missed 2 full games as well as most of the USC game as he suffered the concussion in the first half in that game.

Wilson averaged 1.6 TDs/game while Yates averaged 1.5 (these don't include rushing TDs). Also, Yates had an All-ACC WR to throw too in Nicks who made him look better than he was IMO (similar to what Steve does for Delhomme). Wilson had a bunch of young WRs who have lots of potential but suffered through the cases of dropsies a good bit (Spencer alone dropped 3 TDs and 200+ worth of yards combined in the Wake and UNC games).

Also, QB in college isn't just about the passing given the varying offenses. Wilson is top 25 in the conference in rushing which is amazing considering he also got sacked 24 times which obviously takes away from his rushing yards. The sacks took away almost 200 yards.

Wilson also added the "ACC Rookie of the year award" and the "ACC Offensive rookie of they year award" to go along with his All-ACC 1st team QB award.

Only if you include the Georgia Tech game where Yates only came in at the very end of a blowout to throw three passes. That's the reason I compared them on the basis of passes per touchdown. Yates was more efficient than Wilson in getting his team into the endzone.

I certainly understand why you're defending your guy, but it's not really even debatable that Yates is a better passer than Wilson. It's pretty obvious. Yates is also a year older, so it's possible that Wilson will be better as a redshirt sophomore than Yates has been as a redshirt sophomore. But for this year, Wilson won first team ACC because 1) Yates missed too much action to be considered, and 2) the other quarterbacks in the conference really struggled. For a redshirt freshman, Wilson was great and his performance showed just how much clowns like Evans and Beck hurt the Pack in recent years, but he's not yet the best passer in the conference.

Collin, I would agree that Wilson is not the best passer but I think if you add in the plays he makes with his legs that certainly changes have defenses play us, he is the best Quarterback this year.

What is your thought on the impact Nicks had for Yates that Wilson certainly didn't have from his WRs this year?

Having Nicks definitely helped Yates, and Wilson's receivers did drop a lot of balls, but I remember Brooks Foster dropping two touchdowns as well. Because of Wilson's scrambling ability you could make the argument that he has a bigger overall impact than Yates, although I personally don't think it quite makes up the difference in passing. But like I said, Wilson is also younger and should continue to get better.
