Albert, FWIW, looks like a beast at guard, and he's a guy who could be punched in to be a Hutchinson level guy for however long he plays, but he's godawful tall, and he sounds so dumb that initially I thought the interview I was watching was a put-on.

If you think he's dumb, you should hear Chris Johnson from ECU.

Saw him interviewed and it was embarrasing to watch.

Offensive linemen are usually not stupid. That would be a concern for me.... He sounds like exactly what we need though. Leave Wharton at LT and get a really good guard. There is no guarantee that Wharton can be a really good guard.

Except for a few games where John Abraham face raped him, Wharton has been pretty solid at LT. I am more inclined to leave him there than I am to move him to guard and hope he is worth what we are paying him. He is unquestionably worth it at LT, which is a position that is typically highly paid.

Wharton got better as the season went on too, probably because of the knee. In the second match up with Abraham, he held him to 0 sacks and 3 tackles, and he also did a pretty good job on Freeney when we played the Colts. I think people tend to look at Wharton's worst games and judge him by those instead of the body of work. I wouldn't be that worried at all if he plays LT again, as long as they upgrade at both guard positions.

I think if we are serious about getting better at the O-Line we should find a way to get Albert. I wouldn't mind taking a OT at 13 but who will be there Williams at Otah? Not the greatest to choose from. Albert also gives us that flexibility we love in the ability to play OT or OG.
A OG in round 1 might be tough for a lot of peeps to swallow, but I think it'll prove to be worth it.
Also I don't think we should take him at 13, but if we somehow find a way to trade down that'll be nice.
