    No, it's STILL idiotic. If you apply that logic, then how quick will you be to reverse that decision if the opposite comes true?

    You can't revoke automatic bids based on 1 or 2 years of performance. By the time you get it right, some other conference will be on top (or at LEAST have 1 or 2 teams that could legitimately win any other conference). How bad the ACC or Big East is shouldn't factor at all in that decision.

    Think of it this way...
    Do you take away the Big 10's Automatic NCAA bid the years that an 11th ranked Wisconsin or a 15th ranked Purdue wins the Big 10 in basketball? If so, when do you decide to give it back?
