    Alabama 8, Florida 3|

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Beau Hearod homered in his first two at bats and drove in five runs as Alabama beat Florida 8-3 on Friday night.
Alabama starter Taylor Tankersley (4-0) gave up just three earned runs on eight hits and struck out six in 8 1/3 innings of work for the Crimson Tide (18-3, 4-0 Southeastern Conference).
Florida (17-6-1, 0-3-1) didn’t get a run off Tankersley until the bottom of the seventh, and that came on a two-out single by Jonny Tucker.
Adam Sanabria (0-1), who had been working as the closer for the Gators, gave up eight earned runs and 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings in his first start of the season.
Crimson Tide shortstop Adam Pavkovich went 4-for-5, the first time he has had four hits in his career. He scored on both of Hearod’s home runs.

    LSU 12, Georgia 5|
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — LSU got six runs out of seven hits in the top of the first inning and never looked back as the Tigers cruised to a 12-5 victory against Southeastern Conference rival Georgia Friday.
LSU (14-7-1, 3-0-1 SEC) also posted a pair of runs in the third on two-out back-to-back solo home runs by Ryan Patterson and Matt Liuzza. The back-to-back homers were LSU’s first since last year’s regional game against Tulane.
Every LSU player had at least one hit. LSU has scored 32 runs and banged out 55 hits in four conference games.
Tiger starting pitcher Brian Wilson (5-2) won his third straight start.
Sean Ruthven (2-3) took the loss for the Bulldogs (11-8, 0-4 SEC).
