I would rather see Vlad get it but I would cast my vote for Manny

    Huh?

Manny looks like a freakin criminal! Please he shows NO passion for the game and loafs often!!!!!! Hands down playing at the toughest spot on the diamond with the most innings played to boot! As well as the numbers to match! Miguel Tejada from Baltimore!!!!! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

Manny probably watches more film of the pitchers he's going to face then any other Red Sox player. It just appears that he doesn't care about the game or loafs around because he occasionally makes the boneheaded play. He for the most part doesn't chance bad pitches, gets clutch hits and has actually improved his defense big time this year.

With all that said though it's hard to argue against Vlad and his numbers especially if the Angels clinch this weekend.

just to throw some flavor in here, i'll cast my vote for ortiz. 2nd in hr's, 2nd in rbi, ranks higher than the others mentioned here in slugging, and only slightly lower in obp. hard to give it to a guy that dh's about half the time, but i'll throw him out there.

if not him, vlad. very impressive.

I'm not a Yankee's fan, but it wouldn't surprise me that Sheffield wins it. He has carried that team all year while being injured the first week of the season
