I'm thinking about starting a new company. It will require me to be able to ship the product to the client and I will remotely program it for them via internet connection.

How tough is this to do?
How much does it cost? (Set up and maintain -approximately)

I don't think starting a new business is hard to do, it's actually getting down to business that will actually be hardest.

You should do a business plan.

Start up expenses are part of the business plan.

Do some research. You'll need more than advice from strangers on the internet to make a viable business plan.

There are several IT people who post here, and while I don't know them personally they have demonstrated there knowledge and willingness to help.
You, on the other hand, offer smart-ass remarks.

In other words, you want someone knowledgeable to give you the answers instead of doing research yourself.

If that is the extent of your ambition you are going to fail.

    I was being helpful.

Do you recommend starting a business with no business plan and without doing a lot of research??

Maybe I've been doing it wrong, but I thought that "research" often involved asking questions of those more knowledgeable.

you're not gonna get any meaningful answers here unless you provide more info. and then it might still not be meaningful.
