Anyone in the Winston area go check out Milner's Southern American on Stratford Road where the old Rockola Cafe used to be. It was opened by an old friend of mine and his brother and is hands down one of the best places I have ever eaten. One came from Magnolia's in Charleston and the other from the Boat House on East Bay. This place is better than either and I garuntee you will enjoy it.

They've had 1.5 hour waits, who drink liqour, at least 4 days a week for two months since they opened, they should do ok. These guys get it, honestly, they are going to make it. They had a built in regulars based upon the neighborhood and restaurant they were affilliated near by.

they said they would consider opening in Charlotte in the next 5, they have good financial backing.

Wossa, their menu is everthing good and southern prepared correctly

    moravian cookie encrusted pork tenderloin
    crab stuffed flounder
    parmesan ecrusted bacon bbq steak
    frogmore stew
    lobster & hominy grits
    crab cakes

    baked pimento cheese app.
    fried pickles app
    she crab
    shrimp stew

they plan to start rotating the menu every 3 months

all the deserts are made by his wife

Sounds good and I hope they make it. If they come to Clt. advise them SW is where it's gonna be in 5 yrs...the next Ballantyne/Dillworth/S. Park all in one coming soon. Some will call it Palisades, others will call it home.
