There were some pretty good guys released today to add to our wish list.
Here are the guys I think we should take a look at:
    1. Rod Burnett DE Balt. - Reunite him with Del Rio, eliminate the need for Pep-pep-pep-Peppers.
    2. Ken Irvin CB Buffalo - Solid DB
    3. Kipp Vickers OT Balt. - Move Terry to guard.
    4. Howard Griffith FB Denver - Should have never let him go.
    5. Tracey Scroggins DE Detroit - Eliminate need for Pep-pep-pep-Peppers.
    6. Santana Dotson DT GB - Vet with good days left in him.
    7. Jeff Burris CB Indy - Might be expensive, but if the price is right.
    8. Renoldo Wynn DE Jacksonville - see Burris
    9. Aaron Beasley CB Jacksonville - see Burris
    10. Steve Isreal CB New Orleans - needs change of address.
    11. Jesse Armstead LB NYG - Reunite w/ Fox and give us the vet leadership we need...is this deal done yet?
    12. Jason Garret QB NYG - Adds the vet we need and he is like a player coach. WILL be a HC in this league someday!
    13. Shane Burton DT NYJ - Upgrade over Lucas, possible starter.
    14. Jon Wittman FB Pitt - Former Penn Stater!
    15. Ryan Tucker OT StL - Move Terry to OG
    16. Michael Sinclair DE Seattle - Adds depth.
    17. Michael Booker CB Tenn - Solid DB
    18. DeRon Jenkins CB Tenn - Cheap depth

I went to high school with Jeff Burris. I dont know why he would be expensive, he has unfortunately been about average his hole career. I dont know that I would even say he was solid. Adequate would be a better term.

Burris has played in at least one Pro Bowl, I think two in recent years. He's a risk taker and does get burnt in doing so at times.

He would probably love to come back to this area. I am not aware of any pro bowls he has played in. He has definately not been a stand out since moving to Indy.

Burnett doesn't eliminate need for Peppers. At best Burnett's a two down DE and quite old. Sinclair, likewise, is aging, and at that age I don't know why he'd come here to be a backup. Griffith retired. Witman wouldn't be bad.

I'd take Burris short term. Tucker would be great at the right prce.

I just don't want Peppers, period! I wont be too upset if we get him, but I think we'd be better served trading down and going for Johnson @ DE or Jammer/Buchanon.
If we pick @ #2, I think we should go with McKinnie...but I'd rather trade down.
Plus, I think Burnett and Williams in rotation would be good.

Johnson? DE? Sounds like a big trade down, a real big one, since Dennis isn't often being mentioned in the same round as our pick.
At any rate whether you like Peppers or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is that what you'd be attempting to do with Burnett isn't possible to fill that role. He and Williams together rotating would only
McKinnie's falling, thank God. I'm sorry, I just cannot stomach that pick.

Being from Kentucky works against Johnson, he gets no press. The lowest I have seen him is high second round and I think his combine performance will keep him in the first round. I have him ranked slightly ahead of Edwards and not far behind Peppers.
What I saw of him this year, while limited, was a guy who plays a complete game...an everydown DE.
Dennis Johnson WILL go first round. My guess is top 20.
