Yeah, all of those guys except for maybe Lowry and Milsap are just guys. They might have an above average skill but if they were a FA signing for the Bobcats very few people would care besides hardcore fans. Which might number 100-150 people here. The orange jacket guy included.

Rudy Gay would have been a nice pick. It is funny how that JJ Redick has has so much more NBA success than Morrison. No one thought JJ would do anything and while he has not been great he is still in the league and contributing.

yeah, i suppose those kinds of guys are easily had via trade or free agency. i mean, how many of them are with their original team? people would shit bricks if you traded the right to pick third in the nba draft for any of those dudes...

That seems unlikely. He'd have to be willing to sign a long-term deal here, and if he's open to that then why not wait until after next season when he's a restricted free agent?

From what I remember Gay didn`t even want to visit and workout. The team took it as a sign that he`d be unhappy to be here.

While I think Harden would be an upgrade at PG, I don't think he would be as big an upgrade as using the pick to upgrade another spot on the team.

Now if they would trade Harden and another good player for the pick and DA then I would think about that.

Barring an OKC type turn of events, the BCats will be stuck with a losing record for several more years. Even if they had lucked into a number 1 pick and found a diamond in the rough at 31 the road would have at least been tolerable, but no there was fucking lottery horseshit to deal with.

I kind of like T Zarzour`s idea of chosing picks. As teams get eliminated from playoff contention, then that would be the draft order.

Where they pick in the draft is not as important as getting a good player every time they draft. They have had way too many busts....

They have a shot to build something good with young players but it is probably a long shot. Walker at the 1 Henderson at the 2 Bizmack at the 4 or 5 and then whoever they draft this year at the 3, 4 or 5. If those guys all develop into good player then they have a shot.

Normally in a draft there are at least a couple of players that could easily go number 1, but the year that the cats have the worst winning percentage ever, this draft only had one player that was the top choice.
So in this draft it did matter where they picked. I agree they need to get some talent with every pick.
