Would Gonzaga be better if they switched places? How about dook?

    Morrison wins.

SEASON MIN PTS REB AST TO A/T STL BLK PF FG% FT% 3P% PPS
    2005-2006 35.6 24.7 1.8 2.1 2.0 1.05 1.2 .1 1.5 .489 .853 .465 1.53

Morrison has a slight lead in pts (plays more minutes) and rebounds (but at 6'8" and playing forward, he should)

Redick leads in just about every other category. Look at the tell tale points per shot.

Redick is better offensively and defensively. He just happens to be sharing a court with Shelden Williams. I guess you could say Morrison is ever so slightly more important to his team but Redick is the better all around player.

You are now cutoff, no more glue sniffing for you.

Redick is in no way the more complete player. I will it admit it's pretty close between the two, but Morrison wins this no matter who they play.

How do you come up with Redick is more complete or better defensively?

Morrison has a better steal average per game as well as more blocks per game.

Dook is a better defensive team overall, but Redick is not the better defensive player between these two.

Morrison also leads in turnovers, nice of you to leave that off. Toss points, PPS is the more telling stat.

JJ has done it on bigger stages, against better competition, and along side another POY candidate in Shelden, who he has to share touches with.

JJ is the best player in the country for doing it on bigger stages, against better competition, and against more adversity. Morrison plays for a mid-major against mid-major competition.

You do know that the Zags have played 4 ranked teams compared to 3 for dook.

Yes, the Zags schedule will get a lot easier after they play their 5th ranked team tonight. But to this point they have played as tough a schedule as dook if not harder and we are comparing stats so far this year, not games to be played.

    Playing and losing. Yep.

And Duke's SOS is 2nd compared to 8th for Gonzaga according to kenpom.com so Duke is playing tougher teams and winning to boot.

I don't think you can say Redick doesn't matter as much as Morrison. He accounts for pretty much 1/3 of Duke's total offense. Without Redick, I don't really know where Duke would be. Gonzaga won't lose more than 2 games in January and February cause their conference is a mid-major, but Redick has WAY more opportunities to show what he can do against the best competition in the country on a weekly basis, and if Morrison has those same numbers at the end of the year, and Redick has the same stats after playing in the ACC conference then it is a no-brainer that Redick gets National Player of The Year. The National Player of the Year will be determined in January and February (do ballots for it end at the end of the regular season), not in December and November.
