    I'm not sure I'd consider myself a Christian if I struggled with Jesus' divinity.
    You don't doubt his teachings, yet you don't believe he was who he said he was?

    Actually, God already knew Pharaoh wasn't going to release them without being forced anyway...

    So once it was determined that God had to break his will to release the Hebrews, it became more of a demonstration of His power over Pharaoh (and the Egyptian gods), so that the Egyptians would see who God really was.
