Not surprised that Penn State lost, I'm pretty sure everyone expected that.

And yes, VaTech has an outside shot at the title. But do you see them getting in over a one loss UF, USC, Texas, or Alabama? I don't.

No. The only thing the voters will remember is the opening day beatdown Alabama gave us.

Edit: Shoulda lost to Nebraska too. BTW, Miami and Cal apparently spent this week reading their press clippings.

Yeah, Oregon is looking pretty legit. Which, by proxy, may mean that Boise State is a legit top 5 team. I was surprised though, I thought Cal was better than that.

No, most likely, Va. Tech will end up on the fringe of the big game. If Southern Cal & Florida end up with only 1 loss, that will be your title game. BCS voters love those 2 teams. What needs to happen is total chaos: Have everybody lose 2 games, & let the BCS try to figure it out.

My dumbass took Cal thinking the same thing. No road favorites.... it was unbearable to watch past the first qtr.

I suspect Cal and Miami were peeking ahead. Watch Cal come back and beat USC's ass next week.

If that happens, you're gonna have outcry when an undefeated Houston, TCU or Boise State isn't in the title game.

    Cincy looks pretty good too.

Cal, I can understand looking ahead, but not Miami. This was the game for #1st in the conference. Vs a really good VT.

Cal shouldn't have overlooked Oregon though. I still don't understand how they've stayed out of the polls. They've beaten really good teams.

UF has a relatively easy schedule this year, so they will likely be in the title game.

    Va. Tech # 6

Dag, Va. Tech moves up to #6 in the AP poll, not too far behind LSU & Boise State.
