yep. This is one of the few things I really don't like about the Richardsons. Between the Shrine Bowl and this they are really being asshats

Very dumb. The ACC is begging for Miami and Florida State to come back and do well. Have they not learned anything from seeing that sorry display of fans between Wake and GT. Granted, Wake has such a small alumni, but still. That was embarrasing

'07 ACC title game set; Charlotte to bid for '08

The ACC's football championship game will return to Jacksonville, Fla., next season, league Commissioner John Swofford said Tuesday.

Although the conference's two-year contract with Jacksonville expired when Wake Forest beat Georgia Tech for the ACC title in December, it exercised a one-year option to return to Alltel Stadium.

Charlotte is expected to be one of several cities, possibly along with Jacksonville, Tampa, Fla., Miami, Atlanta, Washington and Baltimore, to bid on being the game's next host, with a contract that would begin in 2008.

"We are pleased to extend our agreement with Jacksonville and the Gator Bowl Association," Swofford said in a statement.

"After discussions with our member schools, it was obvious that everyone has been delighted with Jacksonville's hospitality throughout the first two years as well as the Gator Bowl Association's management of the game."

Attendance for the 2006 game was announced as 62,850 in the 77,000-seat stadium. The inaugural ACC championship game in 2005 between Florida State and Virginia Tech had an announced crowd of 72,749.

I was out on assignment today, so I'm getting online late :) . . .

BOTTOM LINE: I wish the Richardson would stop being so greedy and cut the ACC a deal on renting BoA Stadium so Charlotte can have the ACC Title game!!!!!!!! Why don't they want 1 extra game at the stadium? Are they afraid the grass will get too torn up   ? ?
