At first, I thought Sly was just another TBRer who enjoys getting under other TBRers' skins. And that's cool, 'cause that what this place is all about. But this latest post makes me realize he's got a serious psychological issue with losing and with being associated with a losing team. His entire personality is wrapped up in the success or failure a group of ball players, and when they lose his only recourse is to deny deny deny in order to maintain his mental stability. I have no doubt that if Duke were to go out in the first round and UNC to win the national title, he'd be on here the same day saying it doesn't mean a thing because of this, that or the other reason. He might go so far as to claim that the events never happened.

I've heard of people like this before, but it's really amazing to see up close.

It would be something along the lines of the refs cheated dook in their loss, and had the Blue Devils played the Tar Heels they'd have won and/or he'd say whichever team UNC beat to win the championship was robbed by officials.

Looks like I got under your skin. I guess it takes actually going to the school you pull for to reach this level of insanity. How is Guilford doing this year?

We made a full-court shot that made ESPN for two days straight. In short, our best season ever.

    P.S. UNC-CH grad '95.

With the other team being payed to throw your guy the ball or call a timeout they don't have, who needs the refs to cheat?

Well sly is a grad of dook or so he says. Something about playing football for them, but it's not like that really means anything.

Football and dook? Anybody actually playing football there needs to have their brain checked out.

Not sure I would claim that one.

It's one of the programs that we are actually better than.

Yeah, the program was going in the right direction and the coach bolted.
