Well I don't know if you're actually riled up or not...but it's obvious, to me, from all the, "It doesn't exist, no wait it does, but it doesn't mean anything, no wait it does, but that's not what I meant. I meant that it's meaningless now, no wait - where was I again?" stuff he's doing that it's just to get YOU going around in circles arguing over it... :banginghe

The ACC officially voted in 1990 to recognize the first place finisher as the ACC Regular Season Champion. Clemson, which finished first that year, was actually given a trophy.

Since that time, no trophy is awarded, but schools finishing first are authorized by the ACC to hang a banner for a regular season championship (and banners for retroactive ACC regular season titles before 1990 were also permitted) ... the one stipulation is that it must have the words "Regular Season" on it to differentiate from the official ACC Championship, which is determined by the tournament.

OK, are ya happy now guys? The ACC Regular Season Champions are recognized with a banner. I like banners telling me I'm the Champion. Thanks for the info sly. :229031_ha

Illinois played Indiana once, but Minnesota played the Hoosiers twice. For that reason, there is an unofficial 11-way tie for the Big Ten conference champeenship.

(The illini do get a banner though)

    Welcome, NC
Watch - Roy is a choke artist in the NCAA tournament. Even if they make it to the championship game (doubtful) they will get knocked out in that. I predict a 3rd round loss.

Duke shouldn't make it past the sweet 16 and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them make it farther than UNC and Wake.
