    i meant...if Duke doesn't win the ACC tourny, that too, will be worthless.

    this is a crazy assertion. what conferences do have a uniform schedule, where every team plays home-home with every other team?

    a classic example of being in the right place at the right time. you place some of those earlier carolina teams in the modern era and dean smith might have a few more trophies in the case. its all about the tournament, the regular season does now allow you to qualify but once the tournament begins you go back to zero. thats the big draw of this thing.

    I think Duke has done an excellent job this year, as well as Carolina, but all I've been hearing from day 1 is how UNC is going to destroy everyone and win the national championship, and how Duke was picked to finish 5th or 6th in the conference this year (no one on here has said that, we know better, but magazines and other things like that), but Duke is ranked #5 in the polls, if they beat Wake in the second round, or if Wake stumbles in the first round, then there is a 50/50 chance that Duke gets a number 1 seed in the tourney. Kudos to Coach K for another great job. Can anyone still believe that all the ESPN analyst are still hyping Kansas as being a possible #1 seed. Kansas is doing awful, and just lost their best wing player.

    :imagestor Carolina fans i can't take it any more, y'all are embarassing me...can't ya see that sly is coming up with all of this stuff JUST to get ya riled up, and to see how much you'll argue over the stupid stuff he's coming up with? I mean, come on guys! :banginghe :thud:

    I for one actually thought Duke would finish 1 or 2 in the conference, that wake would finish 1 or 2 and that Carolina would finish 3...but knew they had the talent to be 1...they were just gonna have to prove it to me first. And thank god they did! :ylsuper:
