Not bad for a 'down year.' It kind of sucks that Va Tech was left out of the tourney purely because of a good rebound and incredible shot by Hansbrough. You can't convince me if Tech won their 20th, beat UNC #1 team in the nation and played and lost on Sunday to Klempsun that they would have been left at home.

 

That didn't happen, so leaving them out, while a shame, is probably right.

 

that's Big Fucking East, pal. if recent history is any indication, one of those shitty BE teams will send the ACC's overrated/overhyped top dog packing from the tournament.

Yeah it's hard to argue with VT being left out. You'd like to think your whole tournament acceptance doesn't come down to one possession in your last game, though.

 

If Hansbrough missed that shot, at the very least the game goes into overtime. I wouldn't say it came down to one possession. Va. Tech played the whole game about as good as I've seen them play, so without that effort, I'm not sure the game would have been nearly that close.

 

I would hardly call Georgetown shitty.
