We must be at different sporting events. Outside of North Carolina the 12 or so bowl games I've been to watching North Carolina, the Heel fans were out numbered at least 2 to 1
    Agreed

Wonder if the "super conference" thing will be temporary. Probably be lots of lawsuits.

My first bowl game was the Gator against Arkansas when I was 3, so obviously I don't remember too much about the crowd. The others I've been to had respectable UNC contingents, but it's true that if they're playing WVU or an SEC team then that fanbase usually buys a lot more. And I get that proximity makes it easier, but they do completely fill up the Panthers stadium when they play in that bowl, which not every team does. Boston College in particular had almost no one at the game, so Carolina fans were needed to buy 60k+.

In any case, apparently Notre Dame is in play. I find it surprising that they would prefer the ACC over the Big Ten if they decide to give up independence.

Heard about that yesterday. Wonder what the reason is for preferring the ACC? Would be a good get. Also, wonder if the NBC contract would be an issue?

I'd take Notre Dame in a nano second. Both football and basketball are respectable. South Florida's basketball program is virtually nonexistent (I believe) but their football program is definitely on the upswing as is UConn's. I am not as worried about what a school can bring in basketball but teams like S. Florida, WVU, Notre Dame and UConn to a lesser degree intrigue me.

From what they were talking about on 610am today, they would prefer the ACC because some Big East teams coming here and their competition would be on the east coast which is where they prefer their market to be.

Also they were talking about the SEC declining WVU as well because of Academics.

I think I saw where WVU ranks around 164th in the nation in academics. I believe if you have a pulse then you can get into WVU.

notre dame wants to keep their football money. I would tell them to fuck off.

Pretty sure I could find a rumor with every school not in the ACC, SEC, PAC10 or Big10 linked to each conference. There are probably very few people with any real clue as to what is going on.
