I heard Central Piedmont and York Tech are next in line for the ACC :REDanceBanana001:

So if the ACC wanted UConn, why isn't UConn part of the ACC?

Because the ACC doesn't operate on your timetable.

My timetable has nothing to do with it. UConn desperately wants in, so if the ACC wanted UConn then they'd already have received and accepted an invitation. They aren't wanted, though.

I honestly feel like UCONN is the backup plan. They want Notre Dame, Texas, Penn State, and maybe someone else.

They'll take a shot at those first, but if it doesn't happen they have UCONN to fall back on.

Notre Dame and Penn St would be a nice match. Good academics, football programs, and Notre Dames basketball program is getting better assuming they can find someone to take over for Tyler's little brother

People keep acting like 16 is a given, but it's not. You don't necessarily gain anything by going from 14 to 16, but you do have to split the money among more members and deal with more scheduling headaches. Two divisions of seven teams would make a lot of sense.

This is closer to the facts. Nice work, Theltlite.
