You can repeat this until you are blue in the face - which I am sure you are at this point since you keep repeating it like a 4 year old holding his breath until he gets his way.

But the article says otherwise. Keep trying though.

ESPN also reported months ago that Florida State, Clemson, and Georgia Tech were expected to join the SEC "within days." Because someone puts it in the paper or on television doesn't make it true. The undeniable facts are as follows:

#1) UConn very badly wants into the ACC.

#2) Three quarters of the ACC members have to agree for any university to be invited. That means no one school or two or even three could block an invitation. It would take at least four schools to deny an invitation.

#3) ACC officials have publicly stated that they are "very settled" with 14 teams, and reports say that the conference has begun renegotiating with ESPN based on the changes already made.

#4) It's been a month and UConn hasn't been invited.

There used to be a segment on Sesame Street. Or maybe The Electric Company. Can't remember which show for sure, but it was definitely for children.

Which of these things is not like the other?

Seriously, kshead, you're embarrassing yourself. Desperately clinging to the notion that somehow Boston College of all schools could unilaterally tell the rest of the ACC that UConn wouldn't be invited is just sad. One school can't block anyone. If the ACC wanted UConn, UConn would already be invited.

LOL. The reporter contradicts your repeated claims that the ACC didn't want UConn and you think I should be embarrassed?

Plus you gave 4 arguments - none of which hold water given the article - so you focus on the assertion that BC blocked them - when the article states that other schools decided to just go ahead and take Pitt?

You're better off holding your breath.

You're better off holding your breath. Nice try on bullying me though. Perhaps you should threaten to beat me up next post.

Three quarters of the ACC members have to approve any new school's invitation, which means that four would be needed to block it. Who were the other three besides Boston College who voted against UConn but approved Pittsburgh?

The reality is that you're stupid enough to believe an article to be true simply because it was posted, even after all those articles about Florida State joining the SEC, the Pac-10 wanting Texas, etc. The reporter was speculating, but the facts show that he was wrong. If the ACC wanted UConn, UConn would be in. It's not even possible for Boston College to block their invitation.

In the next post, when you (yet again) say "If the ACC wanted UConn, UConn would be in" - don't forget to squawk like a parrot first.

Yes, there were plenty of articles speculating about who would join what conference. But the piece I linked to involved reporting about the situation after Syracuse and Pitt joined the ACC.

I know you desparately want to be right about UConn, but you aren't. Don't make me suffer through another 10-100 posts before you just admit you were wrong about the ACC not wanting them to begin with.
