You should probably read the article I posted since it appears you haven't yet.

Guess you are right seeing as how the ACC welcomed Miami not to long ago.

It's not too hard to understand. Let's say both Juanita & Thelma Lou tell Barney they want to go to the dance Friday night. Well, Barney's got a decision to make.

Good lord, this shouldn't be hard to understand, even for you. UConn badly wants in to the ACC, and there's nothing stopping them from joining except lacking an invitation. It's been almost a month since Syracuse & Pittsburgh were invited, so if the ACC wanted UConn then they would have been invited already. The ACC doesn't want them.

BC's objection isn't enough to stop anything if the rest of the schools wanted UConn, but they don't. Or more precisely, they don't see anything gained from adding UConn that would justify adding another slice to the revenue pie. Remember, each school you add means less money for the schools already part of the conference unless the new schools add revenue themselves. UConn, despite its accomplishments in basketball, would not. Again, if someone like Notre Dame decides that it wants to join the ACC and the conference then needs a 16th to pair with them, that would allow UConn to get in.

Notre Dame needs to just join up with the Big East in football as they're aligned with in all sports. These conference names become irrelevant when these teams come from outside of the geographical area they represent. It makes no sense to be the ACC and get a team from the midwest.

I wondered how you would try and make excuses for being wrong after I posted the article. The article stated that UConn was the next choice after Syracuse which directly contradicts your assertions (here, here) that the ACC did not want UConn at all. BC blocked them. Period. It's been reported as such by a real reporter. A real reporter trumps your assertions from your mommy and daddy's basement that the ACC didn't want them at all.

You were wrong. Just admit it and stop being your usual asshole self who can't admit when he's wrong.

BC can't block them, you colossal dumbfuck. That same article says that UNC & Duke were adamantly opposed to the last round of expansion, but it happened anyway, so obviously no one school could block UConn or anyone else. BC argued against them, and the rest of the ACC agreed. UConn desperately wanted it, but the ACC didn't want them.
