so, he's whining for freidgen and amato?

If you can't be competitive against the elites, how good are you?
Just like Carolina in Mack Brown's days. If you can't beat the team between you and #1, you're not that good.

At the least, recruiting should pick up at all other ACC schools. If you're not recruiting better for playing against VT, Miami, you're missing out.

GT's recruiting has already picked up a lot this year. They got a new coach in charge of recruiting and should get Nesbitt at QB and Dwyer at running back. I think expansion has helped their recruiting.

Doyel's still a tool, I see. Two years ago State had a great in-state class. It just happens that last year Amato recruited a lot of skill players, and there weren't many to his liking in NC. He's got several verbals from NC already so far this year.

This kinda thing happened to everyone when FSU joined. I wonder what the big deal is?

Expansion has screwed up the basketball scheduling. The 4 NC schools should always be guaranteed a home and home every year with each other.

Everyone in the whole freakin ACC should play that way, but the coaches want more OOC games.

As a State fan, I still think it's a good thing. Look at when FSU joined the league... they dominated for the first few years. I think it was 4 or 5 seasons before they lost a game and then a couple more until they lost a second. Then the league started catching up to them. They're obviosly still a powerhouse, but they're not the juggernaut they used to be. I think the same will happen with VT and UM. It may take a decade, but i think the level of play of the entire league will be greatly improved.
