gotta go with Roy. nobody gave that team a chance. there have been some bumps in the road, but he has those kids playing hard. even if K runs the table it should be Roy. K did his coach of the year, last year when Duke was supposed to be down.

Herb has done a good job, but State fans wont be happy until they do some damage in the NCAA

It'll probably go 1.) Roy Williams, 2.) Dave Leitao, 3.) Coach K 4.) Herb. Leitao has done an incredible job this year. No one on that team would even have a chance of starting on most of the teams in the ACC except Reynolds and Singletary. I have to pick Roy just because after the '99 Duke exodus Coach K had Duke in the Sweet 16 and he won Coach of the Year in the ACC.

What about Oliver Purnell the tiger coach for ACC coach of the year I was looking at every ACC team RPI today and i sow that the tiger RPI is 66 They have better RPI and better overall and acc record then Miami and UVA both UVA and Miami RPI is in the 70s.I think if the Tiger can finish 18-10 and 8-8 in ACC and win a game in the ACC they should and will make it to the NCAA

    Leitao, Williams 2nd

    UVA ---fairly experienced????

0 seniors on scholarship and only 8 total scholarship players, 2 are freshmen, 3 are sophomores, and 3 are juniors. The starting lineup consist of 3 sophs and 2 jrs. I think Roy Williams has done an excellent job of exceeding expectations as well, but Leitao should get the nod in my opinion.

For what? For not finishing last? You're honestly going to give someone an award for that? Unlike much of the ACC, Virginia is only starting one freshman. And yes, Singletary counts more than your average sophomore because he played major minutes as a freshman. No they don't have any seniors, but compared to most of the ACC, UVA is practically elderly.

It is conceivable that the Cavaliers will finish the season with a losing record, and at best they are only likely to be one game above .500, and that's against one of the easiest schedules in the conference. Anyone even suggesting that Leitao should get Coach of the Year for that is being ridiculous. Actually I stand corrected. They're not just being ridiculous, they're showing their anti-UNC bias.

Roy Williams. It has to be. Shit, he lost 5 McDonald All America's underclassmen off last years team to the NBA. All he has is 4 frosh and a couple of role players. And they're winning and they're ranked. They keep getting better every game.
