Do these predictions look right? Of course, the bowls are getting to choose who they want to after the top 2 teams and there are likely going to be several ties in the ACC, just basing on head-to-head games that the bowls would take the winners.

ACC #1 - BCS game (Florida State in Fiesta Bowl?)
ACC #2 - Gator Bowl (Maryland must win last 2, NC State must defeat Maryland)
ACC #3 - Peach Bowl (Maryland/NC State loser)
ACC #4 - Tangerine Bowl (Clemson/Ga Tech, Tech lost to Clemson)
    ACC #5 - Tire Bowl (Clemson/Ga Tech)
ACC #6 - Humanitarian Bowl (Virginia, must win 1 of 2 or Wake Forest, must defeat Maryland, possibly neither qualifies)

    Current ACC Standings
    Florida State, 7-1, 9-2
    Maryland, 4-2, 7-3
    Clemson, 5-3, 7-4
    NC State, 4-3, 7-4
    Georgia Tech, 4-3, 6-4
    Virginia, 3-4, 5-5
    Wake Forest, 3-4, 5-6
    Duke, 1-6, 3-8
    North Carolina, 1-6, 2-9

    Saturday, November 22
    Duke at North Carolina
    Georgia Tech at Virginia
    Maryland at NC State
    Clemson at South Carolina
    Saturday, November 29
    Florida State at Florida
    Georgia at Georgia Tech
    Maryland at Wake Forest
    Virginia Tech at Virginia

If Maryland beats NCSU and Miami is Big East BCS team look for something like this:

    Rose-Florida State vs. USC
Gator - MD vs Va Tech
Peach - NCSU vs Ol' Miss -- Rivers & Manning
Tangerine - Ga Tech vs Mizzou
Continental - Pitt/WVU (other goes to Insight) vs Clemson
Humanitarian - UVa vs Boise St.

    If State beats MD:

Move Clemson to Gator, State stays in Peach, Tech stays in Tangerine and MD to Continental.

Wild cards are UVA and Notre Dame if they win last 2. This could move some of the Big East around. Could ND end up in Charlotte? It's possible.

We should have a good idea next Monday, who's going where.ACC bids could be locked up this weekend for all bowls. These are the matchups that these Bowls are looking at as of this AM.

If West Virginia wins out, which they should, they'd finish no worse than second in the Big East which would put them in at least the Gator Bowl instead of Va Tech. I think that Va Tech might wind up in the Continental Tire Bowl.

Bucko, it's very possible for Va Tech to end up in the CTB.

One way to think about the bowls is to think of it as a draft. After the BCS, the Gator would get the first pick of both the BE and ACC teams. For many reasons, as we saw last year, a higher seeded team may get passed over. As it stands right now, the most likely spot for WVU is the Insight Bowl even if they win out unless Pitt takes the BCS spot then Miami could slide into the Insight and bring WVU back to Charlotte.

The Peach Bowl really wants an NCSU/Ol' Miss Matchup. The Tangerine is high on Ga Tech. It's a weird situation where nothing is as simple as who finishes where. Phones are ringing and deals are being made. This is a big weekend for the Bowl picture.

whats being said is NC State will play in the Peach Bowl and a choice i personally like. Chuck will get the last say on the matter pending a win Saturday against Maryland.

I would love to see either Va Tech (loads of local Hokie fans in Charlotte) or Pittsburgh verses either Clemson or Georgia Tech. Although a WV verses Clemson game (former assistant returns against his former head coach) would be sweet

With the Hokies losing, doesn't that put them in line for the Tire Bowl? Clemson or NCSU vs Va Tech could be a good one.
