It is just given your politics I am surprised you are a christian. You are obviously not pro-life. Not knocking you at all it is just surprising.

I'm moderate. Always have been. That's generally why I chuckle when I'm called a lefty. I'm ALMOST even pro life. In 99% of case I don't support abortion, but in cases of rape or in a case when the mother's life is at risk I can look over it somewhat. But today's standard of abortion as a means of birth control is sickening.

I can understand those exceptions. I agree with you completely on the abortion as birth control being terrible.

I am just curious though, how do you rationalize supporting Kerry if you are pro-life.

I'm a human being. He's a human being. No two human beings agree on every aspect. I never have once said that I agree on everything Kerry does, and I think I've reached the point I'm now more against Bush than I am for Kerry. I'd like to see a change in the White House and there aren't any other legit candidates running. Frankly my choice at Primary time was Edwards, but by the time it reach N.C. he wasn't an option.

So you do not place a canidates position on abortion high on your list of things to judge him on? Or do you feel that Bush has enough negatives to over ride his stance on this issue?

#2, but I don't rank abortion high because like I said I'm for abortion in certain cases. Because of that I have no choice to be Pro Choice. Its not like I consider myself pro choice totally, but there's no other option. Its like electricity. Its either on or its off. There's no middle ground unfortunately. And because I think in occassions of rape and to protect the mother's life it should be allowed I have to "technically" be pro choice. If they'd ever come out with a third altrernative that followed my same choices I'd bet not only myself, but a LOT of people that would be considered Pro Choice would switch to the new stance.

I have always considered those opposed to abortion but that allow for rape, incest and mother life in danger to be pro life. They oppose 99% of abortion if that is their stance.

problem is you're one of the FEW that consider us ProLife. Most ProLifers disagree with our stance.

I do not see how you can support a canidate who favors the use of abortion as birth control.
