Brooks is very talented. Great arm, great size, can throw with accuracy, make all the throws, mobile yet looks downfield and is always in throwing position.

But for every game he wins with talent, he loses with stupid decisions. And he does have all the leadership qualities of a sloth.

To be fair, it hasn't been all his fault. You're gonna throw a few interceptions when your defense is horrible just about every season.

 Seriously, don't argue this point. The further you do, the more ignorant you look. Just drop it.

I'll gladly argue this point, you arogant little shit. Your OPINION is not a fucking fact, so stop presenting relative thoughts as though they were.
In the first place, my original comment was made with a garnish of sarcasm. Not trying at all to say Bouman is the answer or even better for that matter. I simply implied that it wouldn't take much to be the more talented QB where Brooks is involved.

You say Brooks is VERY talented...fine, in your opinion.

I say, Brooks isn't worth a fuck as a front man due to his inability to lead and poor decisions. A VERY TALENTED QB would have been able to get to the playoffs with regularity with the supporting cast that he has had.

I'll conceed that Brooks had the potential to be a VERY TALENTED QB, but he fell short. Sure he can make all the throws and can make plays with his feet, but that doesn't mean shit if you don't have the heart or the brains to apply said talent.

Heard last nite Haslett had tryed to quit and Benson refused him. But the reporter said Haslett is gone after the season and will probably sit out next year to recover from this years mess. The Panthers really need to watch this game and not look pass the Saints. The Cats need to bust in the mouth right off the bat and break their will.

I saw the same report. This team is self destructing. How many "off the bench" QBs won their first game as the starter this season? Can anyone think of someone other than Brad Johnson?

    The implosion continues

Saints | Howard won't be back in 2006
    Thu, 15 Dec 2005 06:39:17 -0800

Updating previous reports, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports New Orleans Saints DE Darren Howard will not be back with the team in 2006. His contract expires after the season. Howard said he has no plans to re-sign with the Saints and would "quit" if team officials prevented him from testing free agency by making him a franchise player for a third consecutive year. Asked his chances of being with the Saints in 2006, Howard replied: "Zero." Howard says his benching for the rest of the year has nothing to do with his knee as the team claims. "The bottom line is this situation has nothing to do with Darren Howard's knee," Howard said. "This is all about Darren Howard and the New Orleans Saints not growing with each other. That's the bottom line. I've played on this knee the last three seasons."

Holcomb in Buffalo. Maybe. I'm too lazy to look it up though.
