I'm starting to lean toward that Jake Plummer bandwagon. If we could sign Plummer, we could use our draft picks on wide recievers, cornerbacks and offensive line depth.

For the rest of the season bust peete to 3rd string let the other 2 alternate halves. Winky is gone he's not worth 3 million it's worth it to him not to renegotiate get cut and resign else where. The panthers gave him a bum contract rather than a few bucks more at signing, he shouldn't bail them out by letting them off the hook. Let winky earn is bucks for this year and get his head busted. Fasani can't handle a full game of getting his head busted but he needs quality game time now is good a time as any. Shit When does baseball start?

That ended up being a bad contract for both teams.

I guess we'll keep with Peete for a game or two. Give Weinke one last shot, and if that goes south, Fasani can try and get a double digit QB rating.

    >>I disagree, Fasani in the eyes of many has more ability than Winky, he just needs time.

You said by Fox' eyes. Doesn't matter who has more ability, right now Weinke's a better quarterback, and that's what you were arguing - Fox' feelings on the two.

    >>Putting Winky at the 3rd slot would do nothing to help getting rid of him.

You worry about winning games now. Next year to this team comes next year.

    >>Guess we can talk this next camp when we see who stays on the team...

That sure is a loaded "I told you so" even though the reason he's gone, the cap, was something I told you about. We both know Chris won't be here next year. The lack of faith this team shows in both players by not elevating the rook nor having Weinke finish says a lot for both players right now. I don't want to see either guy out there unless it's necessary.

Yes, you start Winky and give Fasini some playing time. Also, you open up the offense a little. Gotta see what these dudes have.
