Do you cash in Peete and work with Weinke and Fasani here on out? With the Defense having reached its peak, and the 4 gamer for Peppers to ensue, do we see how the guys on the bench play out?

Since playoffs are not in this years future I would bet that the last 4 games (most winable Cleveland, Cincy, Bears) we might look to see what QB still stays on the team next year.

I guess so, but to tell the truth I really don't want to see either guy unless we must.

Peete's durability is in question, to me, to the point where we should see if we can do better to start the next year with someone else.

Fasani may be a big question mark... but I think that is in his favor... In the eyes of Fox, I don't think Winky has any question marks...

Winky may play to boost or (not) his trade value, in the end... he has no purpose here next year....

He would if his cap value wasn't going to be so high. He's the better quarterback in Fox' eyes, or else we'd have a different depth chart than we do.

Question marks may be partly positive, but there's way too many question marks. Fasani need not be embarassed more than he already has been unless it's necessary.

I disagree, Fasani in the eyes of many has more ability than Winky, he just needs time.

Putting Winky at the 3rd slot would do nothing to help getting rid of him.

I'm not saying Fasani should start anymore, but he gives a team more options than Winky...

Guess we can talk this next camp when we see who stays on the team....

do you subconsciously start playing for draft position at this point? peete has done what all we could have possibly asked him to do. he is visibly affected by his fingers. if fasani is a reach, stick weinke in to "make or break" him. buy a free agent and draft qb high.

I agree with all of the above. It would make sense to let Peete sit and heal while we give both of the others a chance to see who (if either) sticks for next year. Peete (if healthy) would be great to have as a tutor and to spell our starter (occasionally) but he's obviously too old and fragile to play regularly.
If either Weinke or Fasani showed significant promise by years end then that would eliminate one acquisition (FA or draft pick), but you are probably right bunky.(
