LacLedes landing down by the river. The arch is kinda a waste of time but if you feel you have to do it. Go for it. Soulard is the old section of St. Louis that has some very cool restaurants/bars. Have fun. I don't want to pull for UNC but if it means you get to see the final, I will! Well maybe not.

PS St. Louis style pizza SUCKS. The call it ketchup on a saltine. Get some baked raviolis while you are there. Go to J. Bucks steakhouse, Joe Buck's restaurant. It's in Clayton, which is cool yuppy area.

A few reasons. One, another guy really, really wanted to go. Two, I had a lot of shit going on this week. Three, I would have gambled, and I can't afford to do that since I leave for Vegas in 16 days. Four, spending that much time with nothing but Carolina fans doesn't appeal to me. Five, I've never, ever had a burning desire to go to Missouri.

It would have been a fun trip though. Solarte and the boys will have a damn good time.

OK - if it had just been number four I'd have said you were an ijit. I'd love to go to a Final Four.

I went to the one here in '94, but I'd still like to cover one. Oh, and if I had gone, here would have been my sked.

Wake up around 10, do a noon live shot.
Do a live shot every two hours up until game time.
During game, sit in truck and watch on my 5 inch monitor which is what I'd be doing at home.
    After game, interview drunks.
After show, go to boats, get hammered, play blackjack.

Which, I guess isn't all that bad. I probably should have gone.

went to the casino boat last night--same one i went to when i was here for the panthers-rams game....not much has changed--they have (and apparently had at the time i was here last) a poker room--it has been moved around the boat a couple of times apparently....watched a TV colleague of mine lose 100 bucks at the carribean stud table--nice game, but huge house advantage.

heading over to the rupp awards luncheon today--apparently weber from illinois is going to win it (may have already been announced--i honestly dont know with all the driving i have done lately).

VP--sorry you hate me, but I had to drive here if that helps you out at all, and I doubt i will be driving back on Sunday....MSU is tough, but I think UNC's talent will be just enough to get them into the Final on Monday.

More to come either later tonight or tomorrow...planning on playing some pai gow poker at the boat, plus a buddy of mine from chicago is coming in tonight--could be some hold em tonight as well....wish me luck!
