Hello friends--aqpologies up front for any typos as I am on a laptop in my hotel.

In the Gateway City for the final four--my first one! Very excited about it, but at the same time, hoping i get to see the national title game--depends on the heels of course.

Been to STL before (panthers-rams div. playoff game), but should be here through Monday night if all goes well. The weather was great this afternoon, but cold and windy this evening...all part of springtime in the midwest.

Heels arrived at their hotel around 10:30 local time--players/coaches etc complained of a bumpy flight due to some nasty headwinds, but all arrived fine.

SITE OF THE NITE--Melvin Scott sporting a sports ticker-like belt buckle that read "Final 4"...very cool....players seemed relaxed, and genuinely embarrased by the large number of fans that were at the hotel waiting to greet them.

I am hoping its the start of a memorable week...I have neve seen a national championship game, and hope that i can be here to not only take it in, but cover it as well.

A big thanks to my boy Tim Boyum, for letting me use the computer--I hope to update the board all week long.

    PEACE!

    solarte

Trainwreck Saloon down by the river. Ate there before the Panthers Rams game. You should check it out if you get the chance. Great sports atmosphere. Kinda place Charlotte might have in 60 years if they ever develop any type of sports history.

Yeah, no way Carolina loses Saturday. Absolutely none. Go ahead and chalk that one up in the W column.
