    Love for Peete

Was poised and called Moose's number when the plays from the booth went loco.

Tested the Lion secondary deep time and time again. Got big plays on pass interferences, to Moose, to Lamar, to Steveophone, great game all around. And no turnovers.

    Much love to Peete.

Carolina. Where old QBs come to get that third wind.

I guess I got love for Peete too. Stil would like to see more steady drives but hard to do so when they won't let him have the ball on third down.

And the real funny thing is, when Henning lost control in that last 2 minute drive, Peete decided to put the ball in his hand.

We are definately showing our tendancies. Peete made plays when we let him, but we aren't going to be so lucky as to have so many chances.

We weren't efficient with our chances in the first quarter and a half, but the Lions kept giving us the ball back. That wasn't Peete though. Just a penalty or missed assignment. This game should 24 zip at halftime.

One step at a time, though. We had to take advantage of the corners, and we did, cause we couldn't run straight up vs their front.

I'll be honest w/ you and say that you have to look no further than John Fox when you look at this turnaround. What other coach in the league would have taken a gamble this big and played a QB like Peete coming off a 15 loss season. I don't think you can find another one. I've been totally impressed w/ this guy and his decisions. I'm not one to think we are super bowl bound, but after today's performance, I don't think the NFL has heard the last of this Panthers team. Its good to be excited again.

I'm with you Putt... I'll admit I still watch Peete with caution. But more than 300 yards from a Panther QB and no turnovers. On 9/15/02 he was my MVP. :D

I've always been a firm believer that the QB's attitude in the huddle and on the field can impact the team around him... Peete seems to have a good handle on that too. :xyzthumbs

I voted for him over in the hall of fame thread last week. I'd vote for him again if I could.

I also voted for him on the ESPN poll.

BigMark might take it pretty hard, but I think he would understand. After all, Peete does have a little more mobility.

Peete has just done nothing wrong. He's had some great touch on the long ball too. That has really been the difference in this offense. The defensive effort could have went for nothing without those plays.

He may have to step it up again next week. I'm worried about Peete's durability, standing in there and take those hits on blitz's, waiting for the receiver to come open. Minnesota next week will come ready this time. Hopefully the OT took a little out of them, but they lost scoring 39 points. I think our D will be great again.
