Not to worry, Obewon. I just bought an RCA that does the same thing from time to time. Pretty sure it's a glitch in the remote--sending out multiple signals or something. Not a big deal. What I do is get up and turn the TV off manually (buttons on the TV itself) and it usually will reset itself.

As for the shower door, it's probably not aligned properly. If the hinge is out of plumb to the outside of the shower even a little, the door will swing open by itself. The options are (1) re-hang the door--which is a huge pain, or (2) put a latch on it, which would be much easier.

    Don't be skeered. :D

I've seen several documetaries and movies based on true stories about the Catholics and their exorcism rituals. Quite frankly I've never understood them. Seems to me like they go through an awful lot of pomp and circumstance and go a long way out of the way to achieve what they're after. But I guess that could be said about much of what the Catholic church does.

According to the Protestant doctrine of demon expulsion (which goes by the Bible alone, and not all the 'extras' the Catholics embrace), the procedure is much simpler, you don't need any 'props', and you don't have to be clergy. Not that I've ever witnessed or performed a Protestant exorcism, but I know people who have.

As far as an entity gaining strength from paying attention to it, I'd agree that's probable. Demons thrive on fear, and want your attention on them. As long as you're focusing on them, they have power over you. That's just the way it works. Of course, if one's tugging on your shirt collar it becomes very difficult to keep from focusing on it.

I sure hope they re-air that documentary. I'd really like to see it.

I turned it off mannually.....My romote got damaged, I haven't used it in months.

I thought the same thing about the shower door not being aligned....But wouldn't have done it alot sooner. The house is only 3 years old. It just start doing that a few months ago. It's very random....In the last couple of weeks I noticed it has done it a couple of times.

Do you have time warner cable? My Cable box turns of periodically in some sort of funky reset thing...

When I was a kid, I asked my Priest about exorcisms. He acknowledged that our area, our diocese, have an exorcist, but he is secret.

I still can't get past that lady from Poltergeist saying "Scariest places on earth".

  5. It's likely a short in the switch. I have an Aiwa stereo - thing would come on, fairly consistently, at 2:30-3am.

Glad I didn't see the demon-head MIB. My wife can't handle scary stuff - sounds like I might not have either.

My parents have a cemetery next door to their house (about 1/4 mile away) - living there never bugged me as a kid (nor now).

    Stephen King books/movies are nothing.

But Stigmata and movies like that...no thanks...

Cable box maybe? Or could be like PR said--bad switch.

Not necessarily. The house may still be settling some, but Builder might have to verify that for you. Regardless, a house will flex during changes of climate, and this is a time of year for change--especially in the South and Eastern seaboard.

Watched this movie last night. It's hard to find a movie that spooks ya anymore, but this did a pretty good job.
