Woulda added more than just him leaving in the crowd. For starters... he gets the job... great, but then he just up and leaves. That would be like my boss calling me into the office and saying "You got a huge promotion" and then I throw my hands in the air and walk off the job an hour early.

On top of that they never displayed how the new job helped improve the life of him and his kid. Last we know he's still living in a homeless shelter and can't afford day care. Did anything change with his situation with his wife once he got the job?? Something as simple as a flash forward showing him and his kid living in a new house would work. Like shooting basketball at his own goal in a driveway. You get the idea.

Ok, i know what you mean. i think it was long and that might be why. but I think they thought that went w/o saying after only a few years started his own firm. they did do the updates, told you how much money he just sold it for. that is why i went to watch the extra stuff on the dvd.

The Illusionist was better than The Prestiege. Exceot for the Scarlett Johannson angle.

I kinda liked the Prestige a little better. Less predictible.... and in the end it showed the guys passion for his work.

Basically, The Illusionist was more about the love story while The Prestige was more about being an Illusionist and having a passion for it.

the ending credits said he left Lynch 5 years later and started his own firm, then sold it earlier this decade for a shitload of money. Don't know about the wife, but everything else is probably ok.
