A 10-1 Northern Illinois team stays home?

    A good possibility here. They can't get to the MAC championship game without Bowling Green losing to both Miami and Toledo (which is possible). Miami is ahead of them now in the BCS and likely to win the other division.

    With Northwestern potentially becoming bowl eligible in the Big 10, there would be eight Big Ten teams with 7 bowl commitments. Northwestern could take a slot away from NIU.

    Yeah, they are gonna get left home.

    They can ask Toledo for advice on how to handle it I guess. Toledo got screwed two years running I believe. Although Toledo's reward for actually making it last year was a thrashing at the hands of BC. Maybe they shoulda stayed home.
