I really doubt they will go with DeCastro. How much does he really improve the team? Yes he can stabilize the LG for the next 8 years but there is value at that position in this draft despite the fact he is really good

Who knows where Jacksonville is gonna go with their pick. They can surprise everyone and go with Chandler Jones or something lick that.

If not for weed wouldnt Gilmore be the #4 CR?

We need CR bad but that seems bad value to me at 9.

Gilmore would be bad value at #9. He's a physically gifted but inconsistent and not that smart DB who would normally be the type of guy taken in the upper half of the 2nd round . .. NOT the top 10. He blows assignments, gets out of position a lot and he has shown either a lack of awareness and/or discipline. Yeah, some of that was questionable coaching. USC did replace Jeep Hunter in a hurry this past January. I don't know, maybe Gilmore would be perfect in our secondary . . . gifted & dumb. With the right coaching he could be a solid starter some day. Wouldn't mind having him as a project but we need a corner ready to start day one. He would be a safer bet than Jenkins though. More upside than Kirkpatrick. Good tackler, good ball skills, good closing speed. Good overall football player, just not top 10 worthy.

I'm making this the 9 pick thread. Don't make more threads about who you want or a bunch of threads about Coples or whoever else for a few minutes.

I dunno. Whoever we get will be a productive player we'll argue about. I almost don't care, just as long as whoever it is gives a shit and puts it all out there.

My pick is "trade down" but that's not necessarily the most realistic expectation.

Jeep is a buddy of mine, but he didn't coach Gilmore regardless.

so with Claiborne off the board, I have to imagine we're locked into Coples. Which kinda sucks, that I have to want that guy because we could be staring at a LB or a G.

I doubt we trade back now that all the teams traded up for the elite 6 players.
