Not saying that he would have played receiver on the 1-A level. Just thought it was interesting that some bigger schools had shown some interest in him at that position.

Which would be more rare: A QB moving to receiver or a two sport athlete making it in the NFL? I know that Pepper, Bo Jackson, and few others were athletic enough to pull it off.

For those that are bewidlered about the trade up this might help some. Andre Roberts was the runnner up to Edwards for the Walter Peyton award last year, Edwards won it twice. Decker also went one place before that. The price of getting an extra 3 without giving up any picks in this draft was gonna cost a 2 reguardless. Just be thankfull they blew their wad on this pick and not giving up next years 1 in an effort to trade up for Clausen or McCoy.

I was hoping for Gilyard with this pick myself, a proven return man and WR. But I guess there were character concerns with him too and we havent been touching those guys lately.

In gonna trust the staff on this one as im very pleased having already added Clausen and Lafell. Norwood and Hardy are very interesing picks too. And i hope Clausen/Pike doesnt turn into a Huler/Frerotte deal, thats for damn sure.

How does an NFL lockout affect who declares for the draft?

Is it just me, or is something "off" about him?

Depends on how we finish next year.

Can they transplant Edwards' grit to Clausen?

Unlike the other 52 guys on the roster who are just a little put off by losing, but not that big a deal?

That's as logical an explanation as any.

    All of the above.

And no, that's still not worth a 2nd to me. Versatility is nice, but for a 2nd, I want someone good. A starter.
