I used to be a Malmsteen FREAK. Had a T-shirt that said "Malmsteen is GOD" on the back. That used to piss people off...

Don't forget death metal. SOD was one I remember listening to, once. I hated that crap.

SOD! This skate punk that lived near me let me borrow this. It was actually pretty funny shit.

You know that was made up of guys from Anthrax? Former, current...and the singer (Billy Milano) was a roadie.

Anthrax? NOT!!! Now that was some funny shit. I saw that guy, Scot Ian on one of the MTV/VHI/Whatever channel Super Band reality show. It had Ted Nugent and Sebastian Bach in it also. Only saw one show and it sucked. I had no idea he was in SOD.

Yeah...also the bass player from Biohazard and the drummer was Jason Bonham...John's son from Led Zeppelin. I watched the first 3 episodes and lost interest.

Yeah...Ian played guitar. I think Dan Lilker (ex Anthrax) played bass...Milano screamed. Not sure about drums. I THINK it was Charlie Benante of Anthrax.

I saw that show once. Bach was trying to convince them to name the band "Savage Animal". That was pretty funny no one liked it but him. Scott Ian told him it was not 1983 anymore.

I think there are several subgroups that are part of metal and that is a good thing. Anything with some melody and a hot guitar is good to me. Eveb if you do not like hair metal you have to admit it beats the crap out of more Celine Dion or the latest teen group that play no instruments at all.
