    Sporting News, a magazine I have always liked, picked the Panthers to come in second to the Saints. I can understand this. But finish 7-9? Based upon the schedule (which I think is pretty favorable) I can not see the Panthers finishing 7-9

    The only thing that bugs me about that is that it will perpetuate the obnoxious superstition that the team does better when it's predicted to have a poor record or doesn't appear on TV.
