    Hey guys,

I missed the news last night.....did anything spectacular happen yesterday in camp? A coworker of mine seemed to think that there was a pretty big fight, but he's clueless so I don't know whether or not it happened.
DAMN I'm excited about this season!

    Here's 7'/30's.

This is getting ridiculous. Can't even stay connected to the server long enough to finish updating the page. Anyhow, here's today's report and maybe the pictures can be posted later:
Unfortunately, this was a one hour practice, and the linemen only went half of that.
Needless to say there was no hitting, and the whole thing screwed with my plan to watch
the linebackers. Instead, I took a general overview of our offense.

I like the diversity of the new offense. We seem to get a lot of different formations out
of base personnel. Fullbacks/H-backs go out wide, wide receivers line up tight to the
line, and we sometimes overload one side or the other. I think Dan Henning enjoys a two
tight end/single back formation for passing, as I saw a lot of it. Expect more shifts and
motion than we saw under Seifert. At least we're trying to get mismatches somewhere
    along the defense.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen a shotgun yet. I suppose they're hitting it in the
practices I'm skipping, or it won't be as prominent as we thought. Coverage in the
secondary seemed to improve a bit today, and I saw a few more zones than previous days.

The coaching staff is absolutely not letting mistakes slip. If a guy cuts off a route too
soon or a block isn't on the correct shoulder, the players know about it immediately. I
think there's a lot more one-on-one coaching this year, and it can't hurt. I don't know how
we'll fare this year, but I'm dying to find out.

well, that's the problem. BigCat's ticked at his site and is now jsut posting his reports, I don't know if he's even put them on the site. I haven't been able to get in so I'm posting where he's not.

Thanks mvm I've been trying to get to BigCats site knowing there's news there. Not being able to is damned frustrating.

Can anyone imagine Seifert doing this?

Yeah, there was a fight Monday night...well there was a punch at least. After going up for a catch, Steve Smith turned around and punched Cordell Taylor in the facemask. It was a stupid move that could easily ended with Smith breaking his hand. After the punch, Taylor just kind of held Smith until others came to break it up.

It would also get us a great big penalty and get him ejected.
He's going to limit the unnecessary hothead behavior to camp right? We definitely don't need any of that William Floyd crap in the regular season.

I don't think we'll see a lot of ejections this year, but it's damned nice to see some of the players playing with a chip on their shoulder. I hope the aggressiveness in camp translates into some kick-ass smashmouth football this year.
