    Carolina’s record within the NFC South since 2016.

    I don’t disagree on principle, but;

    I’m not sold on another year for this GM and staff. This team devolved after the SB debacle, and the trend is worsening. Newton’s injuries were mismanaged, and it hurt the team. The play today is superior to last weeks shit show, but there are no moral victories, especially when this team shows little sign of turning things around on a consistent basis. I’m onboard for the ride, but someone needs to drive this mother fucker in the other direction, and keep driving.

    The offense isn't far off. We have multiple guys who can create explosive plays, and that's great. The bigger issue over that run of Divisional futility has been defensive breakdowns, and that's supposed to be Rivera's specialty. Maybe you hire a different defensive minded HC who more or less wants to keep the offense intact.

    As for GM, I'd settle for one who just isn't going to smash the machine. Some of the decision making by newer GMs worries me.

    With the consistent poor play of the offensive line, I can’t agree with you on offense. I understand what you’re saying and to whom you refer, but the line is simply bad.

    Okay, but who do we pin that on? We all loved the offseason moves up front. It's possible that the players just need to play better. And there has been a bunch of reshuffling, which is always a nightmare. When you can't consistently play the same five, you're usually not productive up there.

    I’m not opposed to Scott Turner getting the job. I’m not even kidding with you. Blow the whole goddamn thing up, keep the Turner family here. I got to know Scott a little bit at camp. I came away pretty impressed. I’m not saying that should or will happen, but it’s not a bad angle to look at.

    Do that, and go hire some type of Wade Phillips clone to run the defense.

    That’s true, and a good question. It looks as if they’re being physically handled much of the time. That’s my concern more so than technique. But patchwork and moving folks around certainly affect that. The moves at tackle have been puzzling at times, at least to me.

    That's crossed my mind. QB coach to head coach is a big jump, but it's not unprecedented. You also get to split the baby between blowing everything up and standing pat. If it flops, you can try the latter in 2021.
