    My concern is similar to what I felt about Fairley. I prefer a DT who will engage and control the blocker with hand placement, then shed. McClain looks like a guy who isn't concerned about gap integrity, but tries to get around the blocker.

    I noticed that, too; that'll be a problem. I do prefer DT's to penetrate, and that sometimes means "engage and shed" at the same time. Not go around, but through an opponent. McClain's quickness will be an asset there.

    I tried to defend that release when it happened but when i went back and rewatched the preseason i noticed that fool ended up on his ass all the damn time. He kept getting knocked to the ground easier than a WWE wrestler. Really not surprised they got sick of that shit. Still think there was more to it aswell.
