ton of suspense leads up to essentially a blackout during a disjointed part of the ending. Like they just filmed it open ended, and just cut the tape randomly.

Whether that was supposed to be a Godfather 1 style homage, the whole "you never even feel it" type reference to Tony getting it in the head by the guy in the Members Only who was in the can, or if it was just an ending devoid of any meaning, they really don't say.

    fuck that

it was obviously setting up that Tony was getting whacked in the restaurant. I was expecting a slow motion head shot, blood spatter, scream and shock of all the family and boy scouts and gangbangers getting sprayed with blood

I guess that's the ending I'll try and remember.

The worst part of the episode was all the OTHER lameass shit they wasted the episode on.

A few funny parts stood out though. Paulie freaking over the cat - Phil's head getting crushed - how quickly AJ went from radical GOARMY world saver to Hollywood - and best of all Tony's Fed buddy getting excited going "We're gonna win this thing!" when he heard Leotardo was whacked. But none of that made the episode, much more the whole last season worth watching.

    They wussed out big time.

Not horrible, but they wasted a LOT of time on bullshit. The cat wasn't needed, none of the shit with Jr. was needed, the Fed guy in bed with the other girl wasn't needed...With about 12 minutes left I was wondering what the hell they were going to do? NOthing had really happened.

I sure can't say that the finale left me satisfied but it had some moments. If they tried to do the unexpected, they did it. When I think of all the ways to do this episode, to just cut it with no conclusion was a little cheap. I guess we each decide, did Tony get it, did the family survive, did Paulie survive? Smells of a Sopranos Movie to me.

    :rolleyes5:

me too. the suspense was awesome. every single minute was suspenseful.

the blackout at the end was perfect. i for one didn't want to see tony get clipped in front of his family.
