The Verdict was not a huge hit at the boxoffice. It is Newman at his best. If you have never seen it, see it!

Okay, finally watched it. Great movie. I'm pondering some heavy shit in this movie. Did any of the fairy stuff really exist or was it a little girl's imagination?

I see a lot of the symbolism. This is an ICAA movie. I watched a ton of em in my Latin American Cinema class. Something about a manifesto to unite Cuba during the Revolution. Lots of Castro and Che references. I'm not going to attempt to line up who is who.

The last part of the movie should have gave it away.

OK - I watched some of these and rated them

GUTTER - City of God - on a 1-10, I'd give it a 9. Only thing that would have been better is no subtitles, but I got over that pretty quick.

Evil Dead 2 - are you kidding me? It was an entertaining movie, but best horror movie ever? It started out good, and turned into a freaking comedy. 1-10, I'd give it a 6. I'd have to rate horror on scare factor, and this one was totally un-scary.

Breach - This was OK because of the true story factor, but pretty slow, and unless you're into watching a boring guy get spied on, not too great. Also a 6 on 1-10.

Donnie Darko - now this one was cool. Great imaginitive story, had to watch it twice to get everything. I'd give it a 9. Drew Barrymore is hot with straight hair.

Next on my list - Pan's Labyrinth, Unbreakable, and The Apostle.

Silver, there is no such thing as a horror movie. Evil Dead is funny as shit, sorry I left that little detail out. I didn't know you were going to watch it for shock factor.

If you were a kid when I was, yeah, I'm old, the Exorcist and the Omen were the 2 scariest ever. If I watched them now, I would probably just laugh, but after the Exorcist I slept on the floor with my light on for a week - I think I was 17 at the time, I can't remember the exact year.
